What is a dealbreaker? A dealbreaker is something that does not comply with your requirements for buying a home. For example, if you need lender financing to purchase your home, a property with a seller only looking for a cash buyer would break the deal. If you need a home with a minimum of three bedrooms, a one-bedroom house would break the deal. If you need air conditioning in your home and the home you are looking at does not have a practical or cost-efficient way to install air conditioning into the home, that could break the deal. Remember: You, the buyer, are the one who sets your deal breakers. If you are having a hard time finding the home that meets all your needs, you may have to evaluate whether your needs are realistic for the market you are looking in.
